JUNEAU, Alaska – Federal investigators have finished their work at the site of the Alaska plane crash that killed former U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens and four others.

National Transportation Safety Board Chairwoman Deborah Hersman says investigators who were at the remote site in southwest Alaska Wednesday had finished documenting the site, and it's unlikely they'll go back up.

She says they still need to bring the wrecked plane off the hillside and to a hangar in Dillingham for further inspection.

Hersman says the focus Thursday is on interviews and tightening the timeline for details on departure, recognition that the plane was missing, and search and rescue activities.

She says investigators are particularly interested in any information from the four survivors.
